To mark the halfway point in this years track league, stats fans Iain Cook and Jason Cattermole have put together some interesting breakdowns of the results so far. There’s still plenty of time for all to change though!

Earlier this week Chris Evans brought his breakfast show’s Sporting Challenge to Herne Hill. Chris and co-host Jonny Saunders were given a taster session by Olympic Gold medalist Jamie Staff MBE, before being pitted head to head in a two lap dash. Watch the video at the link below to see the results and pictures - needless to say, it wasn’t the most tactically astute race!

Robert Elm’s Tuesday afternoon show focused on cycling in the capital. Inevitably the subject turned to London’s traditional home of cycling - Herne Hill Velodrome. HHYCC coach Judith was on the line to tell everyone about the track. You can listen on BBC iPlayer for the next week http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p007g0hp/Robert_Elms_27_04_2010/ (from about 2:09.30 specifically).
Its less than a week until Herne Hill’s Track League starts (two weeks earlier than originally advertised). This is what all your trainings been building towards.
Now the clocks have changed and the weather is improving (touch wood), Herne Hill Velodrome is now running its full programme of events.
