Working Party - This Saturday 26th
With the spring re-opening looming we’re having our bi-annual working party this Saturday 26th 12pm-4.30pm. There are a number of jobs needing doing to get the site ready for the first training session of the year on 5th March. We’ll be:
- Fixing fences
- Sweeping leaves
- Collecting rubbish
- Fixing track bikes
- Fixing mountainbikes
- Generally clearing up after winter
Herne Hill Velodrome is run entirely by volunteers, so this is a great chance to get involved. There will be jobs for everyone. Jan will be serving teas and coffees during the day. Volunteers should report to Iain Cook at the Workshop to agree tasks.

In what was been a tragic couple of week for Herne Hill, we are very sad to announce that Dave Creasy has passed away aged 78.
If you have ever been to Herne Hill in the last 50 years you would have known Dave Creasy. Whether you rode the local track league or went on to become an Olympic, World or National Champion you would have been helped by Dave.

Sadly, one of the country’s top volunteers, Ron Fowler, has passed away two days after his 80th birthday. Ron was the epitome of a dedicated cycle sport volunteer having been a judge and commissaire at virtually every Herne Hill meeting for more years than those of his time can remember.
