Instead of having the kids hanging around the house, why not bring them to our holiday club?
The sessions run from 10am to 3pm, and are suitable for children aged 8-16 of all abilities, from complete beginners to track riding and mountain biking, to experienced racers!
It costs £15 per child per day. Bike and helmet hire included. There is a discounted rate of £10 for members of British Cycling. Please bring your membership card with you or make a note of your membership number. Membership of British Cycling is free when you join a local club. For info click here
This year riders will be able to choose between mountain-biking and track cycling. You have to choose when you book.
Places per day are limited, so book early to avoid missing out . All riders have to bring a Consent form with them. Booking starts 2 weeks before the sessions start. You must book at least 2 days in advance.
What to Bring?
- Lunch: Enough food to fuel a whole days riding and plenty to drink
- Suitable Clothing: Cycling specific clothing is not essential, make sure you bring a waterproof and warm clothes, particularly for october/february half terms

Advanced Holiday Coaching
This year though, we are trialling a series of sessions to offer a fantastic day of training for more experienced 13-18 year olds (U14, U16 and Juniors). Riders should be competent track racers, with competitive experience, for example at Wednesday night Track League.
The whole day programme will include skills sessions based on RSR exercises, supported by Go Ride and Talent Development coaches. There will be hard, full effort training , race situation and skills sessions with dedicated track time aside from the younger riders. After the days training, riders are welcomed to make a full day of it, and come to the evening Derny Training session, which runs 6.30-dark. Coaches will be onsite all day, though riders will be allowed to leave the site during breaks.
These sessions will run on Thursdays during the Easter, Summer Half-Term and Summer Holidays. The timetable will be different to the normal holiday club, to fit around the rest of the group and to allow for dedicated track time and more focussed coaching. Sessions cost £10 (same price as the usual holiday club). We do not ask riders to book in advance for this session, just turn up on the day. The coaches will be stricter this year about whether riders are eligible for the session - you must have raced on the track before and be either Junior, Youth A or Youth B. If you are unsure drop us an email to check. Sessions plans, will be posted on this page nearer the time, with notice if you might want to being any special equipment (eg tri-bars).
