SESSION PATHWAY
Herne Hill runs a variety of
weekly sessions throughout the season. Here, sessions are rated and colour co-ordinated into 3 categories:
Basic,
Intermediate and
Advanced.
All riders who have never attended Herne Hill training sessions must do an induction session before progressing to the basic track training. For more experienced riders this should be an easy reminder of track etiquette, along with other aspects that can differ between tracks.

Progression
New for 2012 we have introduced progression cards. These should help and remind riders what sessions they should be working towards.
They should be given out at the sign on desk of most sessions, if not, ask for one.
Step 1
Induction
Step 2
3 Basic training sessions
Step 3
3 Intermediate training sessions
Step 4
Racing!
This is just a guide, if you don't feel ready to move up a level you are not compelled to. If you are unsure ask the coach in your session to watch you during the session to advise on your ability.
Adult Riders
Adult inductions are available on Saturday mornings at midday, as part of the womens only training on Sunday evenings, or for experienced riders before Monday race training. You can also book a private session for a group at very reasonable rates.
Youth Riders
Youth inductions are available as part of Saturday morning youth training (9-10am), and as part of the youth track riding sesrions on Friday evenings (5-6pm). They are also done on demand at our school holiday club or you can also book a private session for a group at very reasonable rates.
Please note, this ability guide is intended for youth riders, and may differ for adult riders. Eg an advanced youth rider may join in an intermediate adult session.
