New title partner for women’s training and race league at Herne Hill Velodrome

Condor Cycles has become the partner of Herne Hill Velodrome Women (HHVW). HHVW is a unique initiative that champions women’s cycling. It offers women’s only track cycling taster sessions, weekly women’s training and skill development, with the ability to lead beginners through to competing in race events.

The aim of HHVW is to develop not only women’s track cycling skills but to build confidence, ability and fitness in a safe car-free environment.

“Our ethos at Condor has always been to support local and British cycle racing. Condor has been involved with Herne Hill Velodrome for decades. In recent years helping with the Save the Velodrome campaign and providing a fleet of seasonal hire bikes. We are delighted to be involved in such an established initiative to get more women racing and trying track cycling”, explained Condor’s Managing Director, Sebastian Young.

“Condor have supported HHV for a number of years now and having them partner with us to help promote, develop and deliver our women’s cycling offering is really exciting. They share our commitment to provide a vast and varied range of activity so that women of all backgrounds and abilities can discover - or develop - a love of cycling.”
Iain Cook, Cycling Manager, HHV.

Condor Women’s Track League

To complement the training sessions, Condor Cycles has become the title sponsor of the Herne Hill Velodrome’s Womens Race League 2021. The league runs every month on the third saturday of each month until Saturday 18th September. Riders are split into three categories based on ability, making it the perfect pathway for those who want to move from induction sessions through to training and into a competitive environment.

Condor will provide discounts, prizes, and equipment for not only riders competing in the league but also taking part in the induction and training sessions.
