HHV Women’s Newsletter – January
International Women’s Day | Finding a session + rider rewards | HHV race calendar | Condor Women’s League | Other lovely things
Hey HHVW community,
Happy new year from all of us at Herne Hill. I hope you had a nice festive period and have enjoyed reflecting on what you want from 2026 or are opting to continue hibernation until Spring comes, which is also a great idea.
Below you can find our 2026 race calendar with events for all range of disciplines (track, road, cyclocross, and MTB) and options to ride, volunteer or spectate. The best part about our races is that you don’t need any experience and we have all the sessions you need to get ready for them. For now, save the dates and keep an eye out for more information on those you like the look of.
After much consideration we’ve also launched a HHVW WhatsApp community so our strong network of riders can connect and support each other outside of sessions – no spam, just occasional chat about kit, invitations to travel to events together and other wholesome stuff. Get in touch to join.
We now have a strong women’s offering throughout the week and I hope there is something you like the look of. Below I go into more detail about how to explore all the sessions here at HHV.
With warmth

Sessions + finding something for you!
It can be hard to keep track of all the sessions here at HHV and how best to explore them. At the moment we have track, road cycling, mountain bike, cyclocross, and gravel cycling as well as fitness and wellbeing sessions throughout the week!
Here is how we’d recommend finding a session that suits you…
Our most reliable overview of sessions is through the sessions calendar on our website.
There is an embedded Google Calendar on this page and you can toggle the view so it’s either a list (which only shows you a week) or you can view week by week.
Every session will have a link in the description so you can head to EvenTrac to book.
Eventrac is the next best place to explore what’s going on and this is where all sessions are booked. It is also accurate and a nice way to see the range of sessions we have and then find the specific date you want to book.
You can also filter sessions by collection (eg Cyclocross/Women)
Make an Eventrac account! Because:
You can manage your bookings – eg most bookings can be moved up to 2hours before the session starts
You can view your rider reward points. These are given every time you book any women’s session and can be found in your profile > loyalty scheme points > then you must redeem them. You get a FREE session for ever 10 that you book.
HHV 2026 race calendar
Our 2026 race calendar is live meaning you can start planning your year of racing, spectating and volunteering – because our races have something for everyone!

We can get you race ready
We know racing can feel like it’s only for the most serious of riders, but that’s not true. Racing at Herne Hill is for everyone and we have all the sessions you’d need to get ready to race.
See something you like the look of? We’ll be releasing details for all races in the next month but you can always get in touch if you’d like to know more or keep an eye on our events page and social media.
Condor Women’s League
Our iconic Condor Women’s League is back for another year and we’d love to see you there. We have 3 experience-based categories and if you’ve ever ridden at the Women’s Session then you already have a taste of what this race series is like.

South London Grand Prix
Fri 24th and Sat 25th July 2026
The South London Grand Prix returns to Herne Hill Velodrome for 2026, the big highlight of our racing calendar with two days of thrilling high-speed UCI track racing and excitement as we bring top UK talent and international track racers to South London.
Early bird tickets are now live and available until end of March.
Other lovely things for Women and Non-binary riders
We’re lucky to be part of a community of Women and Non-binary riders creating beautiful events and initiatives across the UK! Here are some on my radar at the moment:
Applications are open for our F500 ultra challenge! First round of applications closes mid-February, with a few places held back for later in the year if you're undecided right now. 2026 is our second year of equal representation, with half the places reserved for women.
LDN Academy bumper race programme
It’s fab to see our favourite women’s racing team stepping into organising even more races this year and creating space for riders newer to racing. Check out their programme and the supportive workshops they have.Roll Models – Off-road mentoring for marginalised genders. Applications for their 2026 mentorship programme opens soon so keep an eye out for comms from them.
All Terre – Bristol Gravel Rally Tickets are going live for this wonderful event on 2nd February and the organiser Claire has made FLINTA tickets cheaper this year to acknowledge the financial disadvantage that many genders experience.
Interested in being a coach?
We’re looking to support more women to become coaches, particularly those that ride here already. Coaching is all about sharing knowledge and supporting others to ride and a good coach definitely isn’t always the fastest or loudest rider!
If you’ve ever thought you’d like to give coaching a go (track/cyclocross/mtb) then 2026 could be your year!
Please get in touch if this resonates with you or you’d like to learn more.
