All these sessions take place in our clubroom: simply go up the steps next to the track when you arrive, and you’re there!

Get WINTER STRONG

Get WINTER STRONG is a small group personal training programme delivered over 12 weeks, designed to help you: Build foundational strength and mobility, Improve core stability and balance, Develop explosive power, Reduce risk of injury.

You'll benefit from one-to-one coaching within a supportive group, with regular testing to track your progress and keep you moving forward.

  • Saturday morning group classes: 8.00-9.00am | Saturdays: 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th September

  • Wednesday evenings: 6.30-7.30pm | 12 Weeks: Wednesday 1st October to Wednesday 17th December

  • Thursday mornings: 10.30-11.30am | 12 Weeks: Thursday 2nd October to Thursday 18th December

Want to build your strength for riding, improved mobility or just general fitness? Wherever you're at in your strength journey these sessions are for you!

Join instructor Laura for womens focused strength classes, designed to help you to build total body strength and balance, in an enjoyable and supportive environment. The sessions will focus on bodyweight exercises (you can practice later at home!) and it will be accessible for all fitness levels with optional adjustments and builds to match your ability. 

Mondays at 6-7pm, £6, no need to book ahead

Joseph’s Yoga is a highlight of Wednesday nights in the clubroom over the winter months. Taking place after the VCL road bike session, from 7.30-9pm, this cyclist-focused class serves as an ideal post-ride cooldown or a midweek boost for strength and flexibility.

Yoga/Pilates with Sean

Sean has been teaching Yoga and Pilates in the clubroom at Herne Hill Velodrome for several years. His approachable style and sessions tailored for cyclists will support you in building strength, preventing injuries, and enhancing flexibility. The number of dedicated regulars in these sessions speaks volumes!

  • Pilates: Tuesdays, 6-7pm, year round.

  • Yoga: Tuesdays, 7.30-9pm year-round; alternate Thursdays, 6.15-7.15pm, winter only
