Our New Ridgeback Kids Bike Fleet is Here!
Discerning children who have attended our cycling activities in the last month will have noticed we have a brand new bike brand for our hire fleet. The cat’s out of the bag: we’re pleased to announce a multi-year partnership with Madison/Sportline, who are generously supporting Herne Hill Velodrome through their specialist children’s cycle brand, Ridgeback Kids.
As a newly minted Ridgeback Skills School centre, we have upgraded our entire youth fleet with lightweight Ridgeback bikes and premium Lazer helmets. This means your children will have access to the absolute best equipment during our popular Learn to Cycle, Pedal Bike Club, and Youth Cycle Skills sessions.
Meet the New Fleet At The Track
Our updated hire fleet features two standout Ridgeback model ranges built specifically for kids:
Ridgeback Scoot: Lightweight balance bikes designed for our youngest riders to master steering and coordination naturally.
Ridgeback Dimension: High-performance, lightweight aluminium pedal bikes engineered to deliver a smooth and agile ride for growing youngsters.
Safety First with Lazer Helmets
Alongside the new bikes, Madison/Sportline is equipping us with top-tier helmets from Lazer. We will be utilizing the PNut and Nutz ranges, both featuring advanced KinetiCore crash protection and a pinch-free buckle design to keep little ones safe and comfortable.
What This Means For Parents (Great News!)
Parents can continue to not worry about transporting heavy gear to the track or immediately upgrading equipment as your child grows. We are fully aware that there can be financial barriers to riding a bike and by providing free usage of our bikes and helmets for our sessions, we help to remove roadblocks to cycling.
Thanks to Madison/Sportline’s support, every child attending our sessions will be perfectly matched with a comfortable and lightweight setup so they can focus entirely on having fun and building confidence on two wheels.
